Alex Mezeritski has been an important piece of my children’s education for the past twelve years. Each of my three daughters became his student after disappointing experiences and results with other piano instructors.
Why did we turn to him for lessons? The answer is simple: we heard him play! As we walked toward the room from which we first heard him play, my kids and I were mesmerized by the magnetic and glorious music wafting from the room! We turned to Alex to replace the previous teachers to which my children had been assigned. I can honestly say that Alex Mezeritski has never disappointed us.
Within a few months, I noticed improvements in my children’s fingering and technique, in
their ability to navigate their way through the lines and spaces of both the treble and bass clefs, count rhythms, etc. He set them on the path to playing very well.
Alex motivated them to maintain lessons (and practice!) from their elementary years until the conclusion of high school. He met their occasional teenage attitudes with patience and greater challenges in repertoire. His love for music fed my kids interests. He familiarized them with great music and inspiring composers spanning the eras and shared his special love for jazz. Music theory was also interjected as needful. He taught them much more than how to play the piano; Alex offers a more comprehensive music education.
Alex Mezeritski is passionate about his profession. He is committed to both raising up the next generation of pianists, musicians, and composers, as well as equipping others to simply enjoy playing well for a lifetime. It has been a true honor and privilege for my daughters to study under and be trained by him. He is a serious teacher, yet his endearing sense of humor kept my daughters comfortable and feeling cared for as he instructed them. He earned their trust and high esteem. His high expectations for his students were met by his ability to transfer knowledge and skills; Alex produces quality results!
