Alex has been our family's piano teacher for as long as we can remember. Five of our children have taken lessons from him (and the sixth who is 4 years old is dying to start). All of our children learned excellent piano skills and sound music theory. Sometimes teachers can only take a student so far, and then it's time to find another teacher. We are confident Alex can take students as far as they can progress, through high school and beyond. We never felt the need to consider other teachers. Alex does a great job inspiring students to keep going, work hard, and enjoy playing. Let's face it, it's not easy to motivate kids to keep practicing, but Alex does a great job. Our kids know that they don't just play piano to learn how to play great music; they also play to learn perseverance, attention to detail, and patience. As our children have learned the value of hard work, and Alex has been there every step of the way providing great support.
